Introduction

Just as a little preface, this list is very much a work in progress. At the moment, the list will mostly focus on plugins for Lightroom Classic, Photoshop, and Illustrator since they're the ones I'm most familiar, but with contributions the list can hopefully expand to cover all Adobe products (at least the ones that support plugins). Anyway. Now that that's over, let's get onto the list.

Illustrator

Photoshop

Ink by Lorenzo Buosi (AKA Chrometaphore)
Allows users to generate more specific information on layers and objects within them.

Lightroom Classic

Collection Publisher by Jeffrey Friedl
Allows user to export collections in a folder hierarchy that matches that of your Lightroom collection library instead of amassing the photos in one folder like usual.
Folder Publisher by Jeffrey Friedl
Similarly to Collection Publisher, this exports images based on original folder structure of import
Teekesselchen Duplicate Finder by Michael Bungenstock
Parses image metadata to find and isolate suspected duplicates in a specified "duplicate" collection, then allowing for mass deletion after approving the created collection.

Acrobat DC

Lightroom

InDesign

Premiere Pro

After Effects

Dreamweaver

Audition

XD

Plugin Installation

Alright. So there are a couple options for this depending on the plugin, so make sure to check the plugin's webpage for specific information. NOTE: This isn't a definitive guide for installing every plugin ever. These are just the most common ways I've seen to install them for easy reference when using this list.

Adobe Marketplace (Newer)

  1. Open the Creative Cloud Desktop application
  2. Navigate to the "Stock & Marketplace" tab
  3. Open the "Plugins" sub-tab
  4. Find the plugin you're looking for
  5. Click "Get"
  6. Reopen your desired application

Plugin Manager (Older)

  1. Download the plugin from the author's site
  2. Unzip the plugin file to wherever you want (preferrably a designated plugins folder for easy access)
  3. Open the application
  4. Go to the plugin manager (usually located under the "Plugins" or "File" menus)
  5. Follow the process to locate the plugin and add it to your plugins list
  6. Make sure to enable the plugin after installation

Plugins Folder (Older)

  1. Download the plugin from the author's site
  2. Unzip the plugin file to the applications specific plugin folder (found under %PROGRAM_FILES%\Adobe\<Adobe PROGRAM>\Plug-ins usually)
  3. Open the application and make sure to enable plugins (if that's an option, because sometimes it isn't)

Other

Every so often, plugins aren't really plugins in the conventional sense and will have their own creative installation process. Just follow the installation instructions on the plugin's site.
