The documentation for ipfs in the quickstart document references on images, that are not there anymore: http://localhost:8080/ipfs/QmZpc3HvfjEXvLWGQPWbHk3AjD5j8NEN4gmFN8Jmrd5g83/cs

We found them!

I dug @jbenet's old macbook air out of a box, charged it all night and booted it up (it was rather uphappy about this). Then we turned on an ipfs daemon and checked for the hash, nothing. We found a second backup ipfs directory and started up a daemon with that one, moments after it finished the bootstrap process, my laptops node (which had an 'ipfs pin add' command for that hash hanging) completed its pin of the objects!

I love it when things work out so well...

This just perfectly simulates real world scenario when com content is lost. If you are interested in it, you could start long term pin (we might want to add feature like that) and latter discover that this content is back online and you got it.
