Welcome to the SafeGuard! below is a step by step walkthrough for installing and using SafeGuard on a Windows PC.

Requirements

  • Python 3.10+
  • Windows10 or Windows11
  • Internet
  • Administrator user

Installation Guide

  1. Click here to download the latest release of SafeGuard
  2. Open cmd or terminal and cd to the download directory by typing "cd DOWNLOAD-DIRECTORY"
  3. Now make a new folder in your "C:/User" folder (named after your user) and call it "Python-SafeGuard"
  4. Now type "python SafeGuard-Python.py" to run the program this will install all of the required files
  5. Now right click "SafeGuard-Python.py" and create a shortcut with administrator privileges
  6. This file will now run SafeGuards scan on your PC when you open it
  7. When you want to run the program you can run this shortcut or run on startup
