Compatibility should be quite a bit improved, mostly due to audio, timing and interrupt-related fixes:
- Some games that wouldn't load (e.g. Arabian Nights - Sabaku no Seirei Ou) now work.
- Some games that stopped working with the new CPU code based on current snes9x (e.g. the US version of Aero the Acro-Bat) now work again (by reverting some timing changes). This is the first release I'm making since that change, so it's unlikely that you faced this issue.
- A number of old SMW romhacks (using old/broken addmusic) now work.
- Flickering/flashing/rendering artifacts reduced or removed for some games. For example Super Metroid no longer has the flickering HUD line associated with pre-snes9x cores and Top Gear 3000 still has occasional sky flashes and a few other graphical quirks but it is kinda playable now (if you don't have photosensitive epilepsy).
- Savestates for SA1 games (e.g. Super Mario RPG) don't crash the emulator on load anymore.
- Currently untested, but for anyone trying to build a PSP version of this core, the colors should be correct now.
