Images created on an "old" AMD64 four cores, 8GB RAM, without GPU. 512px images take about one hour. Above 640px, everything stalls when all RAM is used up.

About my recent experiments in doing more original things instead of imitating style

The latter experiments use only three lowest layers and most images are from iterations 50 to 300. I also tried ADAM which I found working well for this kind of work.

Congrats too to @jcjohnson (et al) for a new alternative technique! http://arxiv.org/abs/1603.08155 fascinating how this alternative composition of the Style Transfer problem emphasizes recognized attributes of the content image....
