Go to Movies
Click on three dots dropdown
Click on Edit Subtitles
Click on + button
Click/touch Browse

Expected :
system popup option to browse local files

Actual :
Nothing happnes , no popup, no error , nothing

Note: this also happens on old versions (2.4.4)

I'm seeing this as well on Android (both F-Droid and Google Play). My workaround is to connect via mobile browser, which is a pretty annoying thing to have to do.

It seems there's no File Access permissions in the Android app. So, I can't even force-grant them.

For contributors interested in picking up this issue: this requires implementing onShowFileChooser with a call to the system file chooser in WebChromeClient.
