It seems we cannot use markdown format in the posts #29
Comments
Hello xzenggit. I'm not the author of this repo, but I've worked with it, so I know a few whistles and bells. As of right now, the description is copied as is ,from _posts/post into the modal popup that appears when you click on the project. Any html tags in it are parsed by the browser. However it won't be too hard to change it to use/parse markdown from description text. If you want, I can do that for you. |
@xzenggit - Thanks for raising it. I almost assumed markdown support. @turtleDev I really want to use this theme with markdown support for the posts. Can you please help out here? Thanks. |
@prasadhonrao @xzenggit I've opened a PR to enable markdown support for posts. In the meanwhile you can use my fork to test it out. |
@turtleDev Thanks for the quick response and PR |
@prasadhonrao No problem :) |
hey @turtleDev, Have you tested it with github hosting as you mentioned? |
Not yet. Let me test it out. |
@jeromelachaud just checked. it works fine. |
Cheers. Could you send me a URL?😋

Is anything blocking that PR getting merged? I think it would be a nice feature. |
Hello Jerome,
Nice work on the freelancer -theme. I found it seems we can not use markdown format in the posts, right? Everything below the layout "---" setting in posts cannot show in the website. Any idea? Thank you.
Cheers,
Xiangming
