This is entirely a code-neaten without external functional effects.
It also offers maybe a few percent performance increase in some cases but not others.
Context: mlrvals are throughout the code treated as
*Mlrval, but,arrayvalslots were[]Mlrvalwhich is a bit of an asymmetry. On this PR those are all converted to[]*Mlrval.
