SMTP (mail) notification not working?

Is there a way to test if the SMTP config is working?
Because I don't get any mail notifications.

Config:

SMTP_RUN: on notification
SMTP_CMD: python3 /app/front/plugins/_publisher_email/email_smtp.py
SMTP_RUN_TIMEOUT: 20
SMTP_SERVER: web49.theserver.de
SMTP_PORT: 465
SMTP_SKIP_LOGIN: false
SMTP_USER: mymailaddress@theserver.de
SMTP_PASS: mypassword :)
SMTP_SKIP_TLS: false (I also tried true)
SMTP_FORCE_SSL: true (I also tried false)
SMTP_REPORT_TO: mymailaddress@theserver.de
SMTP_REPORT_FROM: NetAlertX

A SSL connection is required but changing it from true to false or vice versa doesn't seem to have an effect. And this time, the password contains only a "-" as special charakter and not a $ or : :)

Solution: Try TLS skip and force SSL at the same time and reboot Docker...
