I don't know why the default view function do not support markdown render. maybe this workaround helps.

@AdamBear Thank you for your contribution. There are failures on CI. I can not trigger the CI for now (cc/ @Zsailer). In the meantime, could you close and reopen this PR to trigger CI?

Closing as fixed by #6921 and available in Notebook 7.
