"A service that identifies pills easily by taking pictures."
Most people don't store preparations or commercially available drugs separately, and the effects of the drugs are written on generic drug wrappers, but if the packages are lost, we don't know what they're efficacy. In addition, due to the low accessibility of information on the side effects of the pill, misuse of the drug occurs, and it is difficult to obtain drug information due to small letters when taking the pill. Market analysis of existing services confirmed that Google Play Store (Android) and App Store (IOS) do not currently provide services that can identify information from a single drug (pill) only by photographing. In this project, about 20,000 drug classification datasets that analyze the characteristic amount of drugs are used to conveniently provide information on drugs taken directly by users with smartphones. Furthermore, it will be possible to provide a service that recommends drugs with alternative ingredients similar to drugs searched by users.
We have the following functions.
- Ability to analyze medicines by taking pictures
- Ability to analyze medicines with photographed images
- Ability to capture and store analyzed results
- Several other features will be added and implemented.
Components used in project implementation
- YOLOv5s (GPL 3.0 license)
- EasyOCR 1.4.2 (Apache 2.0 license)
- Rembg 1.0.10 (MIT license)
