The repository contains build details for the Apple-1 computer. You can find the parts list (and specific parts that I used in my build) below.
Apple-1 motherboards are available for sale at https://www.kalinchuk.com/product-page/apple-1-replica-pcb-gold-plated. The ACI (Apple Cassette Interface) boards are available at https://www.kalinchuk.com/product-page/aci-apple-cassette-interface-pcb-for-the-apple-1-gold-plated. The Serial Interface boards are available at https://www.kalinchuk.com/product-page/serial-interface-pcb-for-the-apple-1-gold-plated.
This repository was created in conjunction with the Building the Apple-1 YouTube video. Mike Willegal also made an Apple-1 construction guide that I thought was great.
The ACI assembly and operation YouTube video contains detailed instructions. You can also reference Mike Willegal's Guide which contains a lot of additional information.
The case was assembled in this YouTube video and you can find additional information below under the "Case" subheading.
You can find the Mainboard, ACI PCB and Serial Board gerbers under the "Gerbers" directory.

Acrylic Panels | See below for the list of panels purchased | N/A | TAP Plastics |
Frame | 1/2" L-shape aluminum | 2 | Lowes |
I decided to build a Byte Shop style case for my Apple-1 but made it out of acrylic so the insides could be seen. I purchased all the panels I needed from an online store called TAP Plastics. You can see the order details below:
And this is how it turned out after being assembled:
I have found that the Apple-1 is fairly reliable. If you do run into reliability issues, I would recommend taking a look at Uncle Bernies "reliability mod" at https://www.applefritter.com/content/part-path-towards-rock-solid-apple-1-builds.
You can find some audio-based software at https://www.isdi.com/Apple1/SW/ including Apple Basic.
