## Feature Example - Graphql types with GraphQL Code Generator
This project demonstrates how to generate GraphQL types using [GraphQL Code Generator](https://the-guild.dev/graphql/codegen) for `context.graphql` in a Keystone project
## Instructions | ||
To run this project, clone the Keystone repository locally, run `pnpm install` at the root of the repository then navigate to this directory and run:
```shell | ||
pnpm dev | ||
``` | ||
This will start the Admin UI at [localhost:3000](http://localhost:3000).
You can use the Admin UI to create items in your database.
You can also access a GraphQL Playground at [localhost:3000/api/graphql](http://localhost:3000/api/graphql), which allows you to directly run GraphQL queries and mutations.
## Features | ||
This project demonstrates how to use `context.graphql` with [GraphQL Code Generator](https://the-guild.dev/graphql/codegen).
## Try it out in CodeSandbox 🧪
You can play with this example online in a web browser using the free [codesandbox.io](https://codesandbox.io/) service. To launch this example, open the URL <https://githubbox.com/keystonejs/keystone/tree/main/examples/graphql-codegen>. You can also fork this sandbox to make your own changes. |

* Map of all GraphQL operations in the project.
* | ||
* This map has several performance disadvantages:
* 1. It is not tree-shakeable, so it will include all operations in the project.
* 2. It is not minifiable, so the string of a GraphQL query will be multiple times inside the bundle.
* 3. It does not support dead code elimination, so it will add unused operations.
* | ||
* Therefore it is highly recommended to use the babel or swc plugin for production.
