Frontmatter page numbering

Hi, in the final construction of my thesis I have noticed that my page numbering is running as arabic from the title page, whereas I expected (and thought from having a quick look through the cls file) that it would be roman numbering for the front matter up to the start of the main matter (i.e page one of chapter one) where it would switch to arabic numbers.

I tried just inserting \pagenumbering{roman} after the \frontmatter command, and then \pagenumbering{arabic} after \mainmatter. This however does not work correctly either, with page one of chapter one being recorded as page 2, and page 1 being the final page of my list of figures.

Any help would be great, I think this falls into the normal remit of an issue ticket as it's not the behaviour I am expecting from the template when using the \frontmatter and \mainmatter.

EDIT: on a quick glance through the sample pdf I've just noticed the page numbering there is exactly as I would have expected, so the issue lies with something I have done to my local copy. I'll download a fresh copy of the template and start again perhaps.

EDIT 2: It was the fact I still had draft mode enabled.

@johannesbottcher Thanks for the links. The romanpages environment definition isn't part of the class file, it was in the preamble, but was never used. I have removed it. The template only uses \frontmatter, \mainmatter, and \backmatter.

@tunfastdev By default, the template uses roman numerals for the frontmatter section. Are you compiling it in draft mode? Do you have the option draft in the \documentclass[]? From v2.2.1 that should work as well. Could you please share a screenshot of the Table of Contents page?

Hi, I'm having the same issue in that I can't see the roman numbers on the front matter pages. It says in my TOC page that my list of figures is on xiii but on the list of figures page itself there is no xiii number shown. Is there a way to add this? Cheers! :)
