I'm having issues locating the nginx-status page as described here

nginx-status

The documentation says to look at the example/rc-default. However, I cannot find this example. I would like the status page to be accessible on a specific url: nginx.example.com via the ingress-controller. Would that be possible?

Further, I would like my Prometheus setup to be able to use the metrics as well. I see that there is an exporter that can export metrics from the nginx_status. However, since I'm using 0.9.0, and this comes with Prometheus metrics, which works great by the way, but missing more detailed metrics such as HTTP_500_errors etc. Is this on the drawing board for an upcoming release?

I know the repo is in a transformation stage at the moment. If anybody can give me some pointers, that would be great. Thank you.

@kaspernissen right now the prometheus exporter uses the standard nginx status page. There is an issue to use the vts information. Please check #72
