Hi. I just came across this addon and thought my dreams had come true. However I tried to install it into Chrome from the Chrome Store but keep getting an error:-

"Could Not Create Download Directory"

Options are to RELOAD (keeps resulting in the same error) or CANCEL.

Anything I can do to fix this?

Thanks.

i don't think thats an issue with the extension itself since it does not handle the installation ... thats done by chrome
and looks like others had the same issue http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/_p4jqPSD2mI

one was able to fix it by:

I was able to resolve this by going into Chrome Settings
and then specifying a download location... hope this helps!

Couple of questions on installing.

  1. I use the API key generated from my standard installation of Sickbeard?
  2. For the URL I tried using http://localhost:8091/home/ which is the URL in the omnibar when the standard sickbeard app is running

However I get a big red cross next to connection status.

Right now i am not on my computer but I think the URL
Should be without the home

In your case: http://localhost:8091/

Sent from my iPhone

Thanks - that worked.

Am I wrong in thinking I can add shows in the extension or do I need to launch the full application from within the extension to do that?

well with just the show name you can't do it with the extension (the api calls need a tvdb id for the show)

but you can got to
e.g. http://thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=79349
or http://trakt.tv/show/homeland

and you might notice a triangle in the bottom left conner ... if its green you already have the show in sb
if its white you can click it and add the show from there
