There is NO licensing required to directly use the app - it is free and open source! However, to access the app in Teams, users will need to be licensed for Teams (this is usually part of your Office 365 plan/subscription)
The app is hosted in Azure and there will be some associated costs. Here is a monthly estimated charge (UK South region, billed in GBP, in August 2021):

| Log Analytics Workspace (Part of App Insights, 1GB) | £0.00 | There is charge of £2.15 per GB for data ingested over 5GB, but this is very unlikely to happen |
| Key Vault (10,000 operations) | £0.02 | Charged at £0.02 per 10,000. This app should not exceed this amount |

As this cost is estimated, do not take this example as an exact amount you will be charged. Prices will vary across usage, (data centre) region and currency.
