Nothing loading on the app #522

Unfortunately the developer hasn't updated Liftoff for many months, which is a shame as it's my favorite client. As lemm.ee has updated to version 0.19 Liftoff will no longer work unless @zachatrocity or another dev will address the problem. |
That's a shame... Will have to find another app then, what are you using if I may ask? |
Was trying both out, somehow Voyager works better for me as Thunder wasn't keeping me logged in on the app... Thanks for the help! |
Might be worth keeping this issue open for others who come here with the same problem. |
Keeping this open for others reference! |
+1, my home lemmy instance updated and now it no longer loads :( |
Thank you for the great app all this time ❤️🙏. If it ever updates again, I'll be right back! |
As I don't know what is broken (I cannot read up all the issues): if you give me a short sentence, I can add that as changelog for the latest version so it's shown directly with the app description. I see no comment from the developers here nor on any of the linked issues. @Nithanim is this being worked on at all? I mean, if it's impossible to use an instance, what can the client be used for then? Should I rather deactivate/delist the app on my end, or just remove the last version (provided the previous one works) and disable updates until I receive notice there's a fix available? |
@IzzySoft Sorry, I do not know any news. I left as soon as I stated (in some other issue) that I could not get it to work. If there has not been any updates/fixes by someone else that implements the new lemmy api into liftoff (which I assume is not because of all the people complaining...) , the app is basically useless now as there are no lemmy instances left on the old version. From my point of view, the best action would be to delist the app. Thank you for your service! |
Thanks for the clear words, @Nithanim – I'll remove it then for now. Should a solution become available and a working release is provided, be welcome to reach out to me and I'll reestablish the listing then. And thanks to @TotallyAvailable for notifying me! |
Is additional info needed to debug this? I'm facing the same issue now, and am willing to help however I can. |
It is pretty clear what to do, but nobody is able to or has the time to do it. |
Hello there, for the past 2 days the app has not been working for me. On the feed tab I am prompted with "Something went wrong", on the subs tab it shows the "type 'Null' is not a subtype of type 'Int' in type cast", search tab has "Something went wrong" after searching and profile tab just endlessly loads.
Have tried uninstall and reinstall but no luck, I can still access my instance lemm.ee on browser so I don't know what is the issue. Have attached screenshots for reference too.
Thank you
