In explaining an acronym in the README, you introduce another acronym. What does it stand for? Can you add that to the README?

Intermediate representation: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intermediate_representation. It's one of the core concepts in compilers, so I guess we decided it needed no introduction. If you are interested in clarifying the README, feel free to send a PR.
