This repository contains Zotero-related files developed to simplify creation and management of citations within drug information centrals in Sweden.
The translator imports reference information from the current loaded Summaries of Product Characteristics (SPC) for a drug from the Swedish drug database FASS. To activate the translator any of the views "FASS-text" or "Produktresumé" must be loaded. The translator will fetch information about product name, marketing-authorisation holder and date when the SPC was last updated.
When using Vancouver the reference will appear as follows (using the SPC for Wakix and swedish language in Zotero):
AOP Orphan Pharmaceuticals. Wakix (pitolisant), Produktresumé (SPC) [Internet]. Uppsala: Läkemedelsverket; 2021 [citerad 29 juli 2022]. Tillgänglig vid: https://www.fass.se
The translator will save a reference from the Swedish drug information tool Janusmed. If a specific tool (e.g. "Janusmed interaktioner") is loaded, this information will also be included in the reference. This translator will not fetch any information from the webpage, only deduce which tool is loaded.
When using the Vancouver style the reference will appear as follows (using "Janusmed interaktioner" as an example):
Janusmed interaktioner [Internet]. Stockholm: Hälso- och sjukvårdsförvaltningen, Region Stockholm; [citerad 29 juli 2022]. Tillgänglig vid: https://janusmed.se
The translator will save a reference for the drug information service Lexicomp. If a specific database is queried for a specific drug (i.e. a drug name is shown next to the database name in the title/header of the webpage) this information is added to the reference. If this information is not available (e.g. for the databases "Drug interactions", "Trissel's IV Compatibility") a more generic reference will be created. If information about the time of the last monograph update is available/loaded, this information will also be included in the reference.
When using the Vancouver style the reference will appear as follows (using Lexi-Drugs Multinational as an example):
Lexicomp® Online. Domperidone [Internet]. Lexi-Drugs Multinational. Waltham, MA, USA: UpToDate, Inc.; 2022 [citerad 29 juli 2022]. Tillgänglig vid: https://online.lexi.com
The translator will save a reference for a selection of databases/publications available (as a subscription) via MedicinesComplete. The translator detects which publication is loaded and will then return a prespecified reference (conforming to the citation recommendations of MedicinesComplete). The following databases/publication will be detected: Stockley's Drug Interactions, Stockley's Herbal Medicines Interactions, Pharmaceutical Excipients, Injectable Drugs Guide, Herbal Medicines, Briggs Drugs in Pregnancy and Lactation, British National Formulary for Children.
When using the Vancouver style the reference can appear as follows (using Stockley's Drug Interactions as an example):
Preston C, redaktör. Stockley’s Drug Interactions [Internet]. London, UK: Pharmaceutical Press; [citerad 29 juli 2022]. Tillgänglig vid: https://www.medicinescomplete.com/
The translator will save a reference for the drug information service Micromedex. For some modules/databases (Drug interactions, IV compatibility etc) the specific name of the database/module will be included. For Drugdex, the translator will also fetch the name of the substance and the date when the monograph was last updated (if the "View full document" of "In-Depth Answers" is loaded).
When using the Vancouver style the reference can appear as follows (using Drugdex and trabectedin as an example):
MICROMEDEX® Healthcare Series. IDARUCIZUMAB [Internet]. DRUGDEX Evaluations. Greenwood Village, Colorado, USA: IBM Watson Health; 2022 [citerad 29 juli 2022]. Tillgänglig vid: https://www.micromedexsolutions.com/
The SVELIC translator will save a reference for the loaded investigation from the Swedish drug information website SVELIC (a frontend for the norwegian/swedish database RELIS). Using the Vancouver style, the translator will format the reference to comply with the RELIS reference formatting to enable internal linking when publishing the reference list on SVELIC or RELIS.
When using the Vancouver style the reference may appear as follows:
RELIS database 2022. Finns det risker för fortsatt hemolys vid användning av olika 5-ASA-preparat? Id.nr. 1017, LUPP. (https://svelic.se/utredning/?id=11-1017).
By default Zotero includes an UpToDate translator that enables saving references from the bibliography of UpToDate articles. If installing this "UpToDate_article" translator, it will be activated instead of the default translator (Zotero appears to be sorting translators in alphabetical order) and save the loaded UpToDate article as an item in Zotero. If the webpage Lexicomp Drug Interactions is loaded, the translator will create a specific citation for this site. Like the original UpToDate translator, this translator may have some problems sensing an article the first time it is loaded, and you may need to reload the page.
When using the Vancouver style the reference may appear as follows:
Plon SE, Jonasch E. Molecular biology and pathogenesis of von Hippel-Lindau disease. I: Shah S, redaktör. UpToDate [Internet]. UpToDate, Waltham, MA; 2021 [citerad 29 juli 2022]. Tillgänglig vid: https://www.uptodate.com
This style is a slight alteration of the default CSL file Vancouver (version 2022-04-14) where the numbering of the bibliography has been removed. You are thus forced to use numbered lists in Microsoft Word or corresponding software to number the bibliography. As a result, the numbers are easy to remove when transferring the bibliography to the RELIS database. The style also displays the full reference date for webpages (and other item types) instead of only the year.
To remove the numbering the following two code blocks has been deleted from the default vancouver CSL style: <text variable="citation-number" suffix=". "/>
and second-field-align="flush"
.
To change how the date diplays the <else>
clause in the function <macro name="date">
has been replaced with the code from the <if type="article-journal...
.
Zotero translators should be placed in the “translators” subdirectory of the Zotero data directory.
For installation of styles, see the Zotero support page on Citation Styles.
