In this version, we have updated to the gaia-2-dev testnet, which has delegation functionality, so you can now bond tokens to validator candidates. It's now a full proof-of-stake system!

Get free tokens

To get tokens, feel free to ask the Cosmos team to send you some by pasting your address in our Riot chat. This will be easier in the future once we have a faucet set up so that you can claim free testnet tokens automatically.

Not seeing your balance update? Make sure to hit the "Refresh" button on the Balance page in Cosmos after requesting the tokens.

Atoms are not supported yet.

Even when we do start supporting fundraiser seeds, don't use it except for testing or with small amounts. We will release a command-line cli to use for off-line signing of transactions, and we will also add hardware support for this UI.
