System info:

  • PostgreSQL 10.6
  • Postgis 2.5.2
  • imposm-0.8.1
  • magnacarto-1.1.0
  • lyrk-mapstyle-2.0

At zoom level 9 too much motorway shields are renderd and at zoom level 10 and higher no shields are renderd at all.

Hello, thank you for the hint.

Yes, I could adjust the error. Since the Carto-CSS-API has changed, the rules in the label.mss must be adjusted.

Cannot use deprecated option minimum-distance with new options margin and repeat-distance. in style 'motorway_label' in ShieldSymbolizer

I once created a hotfix in the separate branch: https://github.com/lyrk/lyrk-mapstyle/tree/fix/roads_labeling

Can you test it to see if the labeling is better?

Hi,
I've tried your branch and did a fresh import. At zoom level 10 and above road labels are now also renderd, but there are still way too much of them. Btw, also the size is not correct and the label text is truncated if the label has more than 2 characters.
