cffi does not have a version compatible with the Python 3.13 pre-release versions yet (python-cffi/cffi#23). There are some workarounds listed but it seems like it would be convenient to wait for the next release (which should support building with at least a beta of Python 3.13).

Will leave this PR open and will try re-running in the near future.
