Configurable product and how to?

I can't figure out how to create a configurable product that works? Magento 2 release descriptions say that I can associate and image with a configurable option and have this change on the customer side but I can't figure out where?

OK, so since there were no response for some period of time, let me briefly describe how to add image to a configurable option.

So, first you open a configurable option for editing. After you have a configurable product open for editing, on the Product Details tab, scroll down to the Variations field set and expand it.

For each variation, there is the rectangle with the "+" icon inside. Click it to add image to a variation and select an image you'd like to add to a variation. Proceed the same way to add images to other variations under a configurable product.
