Issues with AHK versioning (v1 and v2) (e.g. "no formatter for 'ahk2' files installed") #445
-
Hiya, as v2 support is still in preview, some key features are missing. Additionally, VS Code seems to have some minor issues that I can't reproduce, but this discussion should help you sort out any issues with AHK v1 files being seen as v2 or vice-versa. For reference, v1 files should have a blue icon in VS Code, and v2 files should have a green one: Please note there is no formatter support for AHK v2 files yet. As such, you may get the error "There is no formatter for 'ahk2' files installed." when trying to format v2 files. This is expected if you're on a v2 file. Alternatively, you can rename your Finally, you can add If these fixes don't resolve your issue, you can try a full re-install of the extension. VS Code caches the extension when you uninstall by default, so here's how to do a full uninstall:
This should clear out any issues with your cache and ensure you're using a clean version of the extension. As always, feel free to comment and open issues if you are having trouble. Happy coding! |
