Which Product Key Does HWID uses to activate windows?

I was Exploring this Topic a little bit when I came to think of which Product key HWID Generator uses to activate windows. Like if it uses the Generic Windows key which are default then doesn't it mean that all the user who is using HWID of MAS is using the same on all the computers? So then it doesn't make it genuine I Guess?

Generic keys come by default with windows so that it can know which edition/channel is installed since it's the key that decides it.

HWID (digital license) activation look for that specific edition/channel, doesn't matter if those keys are generic or not.

For example - when you upgrade already activated windows 7 to windows 10, it gives you an HWID license on windows 10. Which key do you think is installed at that time? It's a generic key. MAS uses the same kind of generic keys.

Oh, I see now. So can you tell me how can I backup My existing Digital Licence [Which actually came with the Laptop when I brought it. It is a digital license]. so incase if I want to recover to the original Key I can. and then is HWID that uses generic key is Genuine to use 🙂 I know it is a stupid question but Still want assurance.

Your laptop has an MSDM license in motherboard which is converted to a digital license.
In this case, it doesn't matter if you install the original key which came with the MSDM license or some generic key.

There is no need to backup any of these two licenses.
You can extract original key which came with MSDM license with below command and install it.
That way you can have a feeling that you are running original activation.
Open command prompt as admin and enter, it will show the key. Install it in windows settings activation page.
