[Mouse utilities] suggestion - add ability to use over Zoom #14100
Comments
I would say this is an IMO, the full screen sharing will be the only solution. |
Wow, thanks Franky920920. I always wondered why these sorts of pointer-enhancement tools didn't work when sharing a single app window over video-conference. What you say is like a big lightbulb going off - "Of course!!" I am a huge fan of Cursor Highlighter and would love to see the customization capabilities in it to be incorporated into Find My Mouse. I'm linking you to #13808 for this suggestion :) |
I just installed powertoy and tried find my mouse during a screen capture (shift-windows-s). Again, the function does not activate while the screen is blank for selection. In this situation often the mouse plays hide and seek :) I have 3 monitors and it would be very convenient to locate it. thanks, Andrea |
as @franky920920 pointed out, I don't think we can really fix this as zoom / teams would lock to an application. Even with our idea for presentation mode with showing mouse clicks, we don't think we can support the scenario of sharing a single app due to the fact they are actually different apps and the idea is to not over share data when you do a single app. |
Description of the new feature / enhancement
Love the new "Find My Mouse"
Over Zoom, if you are sharing full screen, the people watching the Zoom share will see the effect of "Find My Mouse". But if you are sharing a single app window (rather than the full screen), they don't see the effect.
It would be great if the effect could also be seen with single app window shares.
Chris
Scenario when this would be used?
While doing a screen share over Zoom. It would let you highlight where the mouse cursor is for others viewing the Zoom session.
