[Fancyzones] zones extend under taskbar in remote desktop #5343
Comments
are the two systems running under different resolutions? |
Added to the taskbar issue tracker #7371 |
In 0.35 we made a fix #9856 that might also fix this problem but we haven't tested it in this scenario yet. |
Many thanks - I'm currently on 31.2 and it does happen a lot less, maybe once a month now and usually have to reset the border sizes as well, I prefer 5 to 20!

marking this as .37 so we revisit after .35 is released for follow up |
Issue is fixed for me in .35. FancyZone editor does not take Taskbar into account in pixel sizes it seems. But nothing goes behind taskbar anymore when dragging Windows. This is with Windows Remote Desktop. I used to have to use a fake zone behind the bar as a work around. |

I've updated will see if it happens again - has been much better on recent versions only does it one or twice a month. |
closing this out, if it happens again, please file a new issue |
Every time I connect to my work PC, with fancyzones installed, the zones extend under the taskbar (at bottom of screen) so windows snap there too, re-applying fancyzones fixes until the next session.
