Extension version

OS type

macOS

OS version

Darwin x64 21.1.0

Python distribution

Anaconda

Python version

3.9.1

Language server

Expected behaviour

I opted into using the Insiders version o the Python extension but now every time I open a Python related file I'm prompted to reload the window. I don't expect to need to reload the window every time, I only expect to reload when I downloaded the extension.

Actual behaviour

Every time I open a Python related file I'm prompted to reload the window.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Opt into the Insiders version of Python (weeks ago)
  2. See notification afterwards for every Python file you open:
