"It seems that the headset is not conducting signals appropriately"

There are several reasons why this can be:

  1. The electrodes are not touching the head. Try rewetting the headset, or even putting the sponges in again.
  2. It could be that the water in your area is not conductive enough. Try adding a bit of salt or lens-liquid.
  3. One or more of the connections of the electrodes to the green connector board is loose. Check if the connection with the Ganglion and with the electrodes is made correctly.
  4. Something is wrong with the signal transfer between the Ganglion and the decoder. Please check the signal with OpenBCI's own signal viewer. If that signal is correct, please put in an issue in the appropriate repository on Github.
  5. One of the electrodes are broken. You can check this by using an impedance measuring device, to check if there is still a connection between the electrode part of the electrode wire and the output at the end of the wire. If the electrode is broken, please email Mindaffect for further information.
