Changing Recording Resolution/FPS

To change the recording resolution/FPS, Click on the "Change Recording Res/FPS" option in the main menu:

Then select one of the pre-set options or choose your own custom settings:

If it successfully changed the resolution and FPS, you can then record on your quest and the video will be in the size which you have chosen.


Streaming the Quest's Screen onto your PC

To stream the Quest's screen onto your PC, Click on the "Stream Quest screen to PC" option in the main menu:

Then choose which Quest you have:

Then choose which FPS you would like to stream at:

Then choose which bitrate you would like the stream to be at (i would use 5-8):

If no errors show, then you should see your quest's screen:


Sideloading APK Files

To sideload an APK file, choose the "Sideload An APK File" option in the main menu:

Then type in the directory (including the file name) Make sure that both the file name and directory does NOT have a space, or it wont work!

If it sideloaded correctly, then you should see that APK in the "Unknown Sources" section of your apps.


Uninstalling an App

To uninstall apps on your quest, Choose the "Uninstall an APP" option in the main menu:

A new window will popup with all of the 3rd-party apps installed on your quest. Type in the package name of the app that you want to uninstall (Without the "package:"!

If you get the error "Failure [DELETE_FAILED_INTERNAL_ERROR]", then you most likely typed in a package name which was incorrect.

If it successfully uninstalled the app, you will no longer see it on your quest.


Enabling wired ALVR

To enable wired ALVR, click on the "Enable Wired ALVR" option on the main menu:

A new window will open, in order to keep wired ALVR running, do not close this window:

To stop wired ALVR, just close the "Wired ALVR" window.


Change refresh rate

To change the refresh rate of your quest, choose the "Change Refresh Rate" option in the main menu:

Then choose the refresh rate that you would like:


Replay Tools (Beat Saber)

To use the replay tools, choose the "Replay Tools" option in the main menu:

To render the replay, click on "Render Files":

A new window will open which you must keep open while the rendering process if happening, or you could corrupt the recording.

You can now start rendering the replay on the quest.

Once the render has completed, you can close that window and press enter on the QuestToolbox window.

Then you want to go on the quest internal storage on your pc and find the "audio.wav" and "video.h264" files and put them on your PC.

Then click on the "Remux Rendered Files" option.

You now want to enter the directory of the audio.wav and video.h264 on your computer.

It will then remux the two files into one .mp4 file. Once the remuxing has finished you can watch the video and see if the audio is out of sync. If it does need to be synced, then click on "Yes" on the QuestToolbox window:

Once the whole process is done, You can watch the mp4 file and you will see your recording!


Changing the Quest's Resolution

To change the Quest's resolution, choose the "Change Quest Resolution" in the main menu:

Then choose which one you would like to do: Default resolution is a bit broken right now


Updating QuestToolbox

To update QuestToolbox, choose the "Update QuestToolbox" option in the main menu:

This will open your default browser onto the latest release of QuestToolbox.


ADB Options

Setup wireless ADB

To setup wireless ADB, choose the Wireless ADB option

Then type in the local IP of your Quest (you can find this out through your router settings):

If it successfully connected then you can unplug your Quest!

Disconnecting Wireless ADB

To disconnect wireless ADB, choose the Disconnect Wireless ADB option

Wireless ADB should then be disconnected.

Custom ADB Command

To do a custom ADB command, choose the Custom ADB Command option and type in the command of your choice (make sure you know what you are doing!!)

You can type "exit" to cancel.

Sideloading Firmware

To sideload firmware onto your Quest, choose the Sideload Firmware option

Make sure to boot your Quest1/2 into Recovery mode!!

To boot your quest into recovery mode, Shut down your quest.

Once your quest is off, hold down both the power and volume down buttons at the same time until you see this screen:

Before continuing, we can only guarentee that these firmware files work on the Oculus Quest 2 since we dont own a quest 1. we are not held responsible if you brick your quest!

Then (after you have read the warning above) using the volume buttons, scroll down to the "Sideload update" option and use the power button to select it.

Your screen will turn black, this is normal. Now make sure your quest is plugged in to your computer and type in the directory of the firmware .zip (including the file name) Make sure that both the file name and directory does NOT have a space, or it wont work!

Once it has finished sideloading, your quest should automatically reboot itself. It may take a while for it to fully boot because it is applying the update so be patient!

Downloading Firmware Files

To download firmware files, choose the Download Firmware Files option

Then select the firmware of your choice and your default browser will open with a download link.

If you would like to sideload that firmware, it will ask you if you want to.

Disabling/Enabling the Proximity sensor

If you would like to disable/enable the proximity sensor, choose the Disable Proximity Sensor option

Then just choose wether to enable or disable it.
