I had already made some suggestions to this document, but I will suggest them again so more contributors can give their comments or validate them. We have already spoken about not literally translating words because it can change the meaning and not give a coherent structure and affect the meaning of the sentence.

"...who have set the standard for all other I2P implementations to follow" (apartado original del texto en ingles). -
orion por proveer
i2pcpp

Hola @Josexv1,
I was about to continue with the review and it seems the section contributing.md was already translated and you took that version and added it up to the file. I tooked a look at the file developer_guide.md, it was actually updated 6 days ago, and the lines are different (the translation has some missing lines). Could you please take a look and tell me if what I'm saying is correct or am I missing something? :)
@lh1008 Tienes toda la razon, al parecer borre algunas lineas, yo el mismo dia que publique el pull-request hice un pull del repo principal. Entonces Fui yo mismo que borre los cambios. En unos minutos lo actualizo. |

These are two other suggestion that could also work (a recommendation for future translations is not to write two exact words in one sentence). In Spanish two exact words in the same sentence will always mark redundance and affects the grammatical structure. In English redundancy is normal, not in Spanish.
"Utilice la biblioteca estándar y sus dependencias siempre que le sea posible", (le is a pronoun "pronombre refering as an inderect complement to the verb "utilice"; is not a grammatical binding, this is just a suggestion).
or
"Siempre que le sea posible, utilice las librerias estándar y sus dependencias".

Not sure if it's a good idea to translate "plugin". Below you didn't translate it so I think is better to keep consistency, and is hard to translate, it looks like the word "Internet". Maybe a better word will be "extensión" if we decide to translate it.

Hi contributors,
This is taking a little more than expected. In the comments, you can read the suggested changes and grammatical corrections needed, with arguments explaining the why on each comment. This is to enforce the translation. Some are minor changes like adding a tilde (accent mark) and others, like taking out repeated words in a sentence that mark redundance, are given to have a better structure in the translated text.
I want to thank @Josexv1 for his efforts and the great job that he has done so far. I will continue later.
If anyone has comments please add them so we can start a discussion.

- The word "verbose" means to express or use more words. The word "verbose" is not a common word so it will sure be hard to understand the meaning if we leave it as it is. Its literal translation "verboso" won't give a description of what it means, so is better to translate it in a phrase.
Phrase suggestion (you might have a better one):
"Los mensajes del commit por defecto deben acompañarse con palabras o una frase descriptiva,..."
-
The word "considerar/ considerando" means "consider/ considering". "Consisting" means "consiste"; "que consiste de...", "se compone de..." (synonymous).
-
I believe the word "as" (e.i. the way it should be done) is used as a conjunction in the text, if this is the case it refers, "to indicate by comparison the way that something happens or is done", "...explanatory text as separate paragraph(s)". I suggest to change the word "como" to the word "por" which indicates the "way it should be done". "...una explicación detallada por párrafo(s) detallado(s) ...".
-
The word "título" has tilde in the "í".

Please don't leave alternative translations in the final text. I'm not qualified to comment on Spanish grammar, but de gran influencia
is a well-known phrase and (o, "con una gran influencia")
can probably be simply removed.
All changes suggested by @lh1008 look reasonable to me. And I agree that the current version would be good enough to be merged and improved later. In developer_guide.md, there are some examples of titles and labels for use on this platform that have been translated while they should be left in English - but those are from the existing contributing.md translation, and I'll make a pull request about this issue for several languages anyway. Sorry for the late review; I wasn't planning to comment on other languages until I started comparing stuff for my own work in Dutch. I haven't checked everything here, but I have one remark in general: punctuation in bullet points could be more consistent. Either use the same style as the source text or choose your own style, e.g. add a period after each full sentence containing a verb. |
NOTICE: THIS PULL REQUEST HAS BEEN MOVED TO GitLab. Please reopen there if you wish to merge. See #102 for details. |
