Version of the MOPST (Mapping Opportunity & Pressures for Sustainable Tourism) tool for QGIS, running as a QGIS Plugin.
This needs QGIS 3.22 or greater to run.
This has been tested on QGIS 3.22 and should work on later versions of QGIS (it has also been tested on 3.30). It may also work on earlier versions of QGIS (3.x) but this has not been tested. Please let us know if it works for you.
There is some demonstration data so you can test out the Toolbox on your computer.
- In QGIS, add the MOPST plugin by going Plugins > Manage and Install Plugins....
- Search for MOPST, select is and choose Install Plugin.
- Click Close.
- Download the
demo.zipfile and extract it. This contains all the files you need to run the Plugin. - Open the
demo-project.qgzfile. - In the Processing Toolbox, navigate MOPST > Analysis > MOPST.
- Set the input files, like this image.
- Click OK to run the model.
- Wait for model to run (about 2 minutes or so).
- Check the outputs in whichever output directory you chose.
- Compare these and the output log to the files available in the
output.zipfile.

It is helpful if all the layers needed for the tool (apart from raster factors) are added to QGIS Project before running the script.
This toolbox makes use of a range of input files. The files in (demo) are in this required format. The requirements are summarised below. See input-file-specification for more details.
- All files must cover the same geographic areas
- All files must be in the same coordinate system
