wrong postgres version in docker-compose.yml

PostgreSQL Database directory appears to contain a database; Skipping initialization

2024-08-22 16:33:22.235 UTC [1] DETAIL:  The data directory was initialized by PostgreSQL version 14, which is not compatible with this version 16.4.

this is the reason:

            # postgres
            postgres:
              image: docker.io/postgres:16-alpine

i changed the postgres version to 14 in docker-compose.yml and now its working

 sudo podman ps -a

Postgres 16 is the current version. We won't merge this downgrade.

a yes i had to run docker compose pull after wiping the containers and volumes.
i though that this just leaked from development, but i was just stupid.
