I want categorise some read articles for later. ATM i use Feedly and I can save articles to so-called Boards which are essentially folders.

I think we could use starred items for saved articles, however, I cannot create folders in there. Would it be feasable to create folders under starred items? 🤔

Interesting idea! Right now we are using a similar schema and features that the server uses. And the server currently doesn't feature subfolders for "starred" articles. I'd like to avoid implementing this only in this app. I believe this should rather be a server side feature which will also be available in the app then. So I think maybe you can open a feature request in the server app? https://github.com/nextcloud/news

Sorry, @David-Development, for replying just now and for asked you to implement this feature in your app. Somehow I didn’t realise that the server should implement this feature.

As now I think tags/labels would be better than folders for starred websites, I have added a comment in nextcloud/news#386.

Feel free to close this issue.

Yes, I agree that this is a very interesting feature as I'm struggling with my starred items as well. Thank you for the write up in the news repo! Closing this here for now. Once it's implemented on the server we can add it to the app as well.
