Camera Match - Small fixes
CameraMatch - small fixes - fixed error after cancelling image load - “DEBUG” mesh layer is not created anymore
New Tool: Camera Match
Camera Match allows you to create a camera that matches a still image.
For this you have to create two line bundles to solve the left and the right vanish point of the image. Select the first line bundle with edge mode and set the left vanish point. Do the same steps with the right vanish point. After this you can solve the camera.
To not accidentally edit the orientation of the camera you cam activate "Lock Camera Rotation".
The render resolution is also modified to the size of the loaded backdrop.
Important:
It is important that the image is not cropped. It must have the correct aspect ration of the original camera with which it was taken. Otherwise the camera will not solve correctly.
UI changes and human readable error messages
Camera Match - Error Messages and UI refinement Implemented proper error messages for the user. User now gets warned if: - no image is loaded - first or second vanish point is missing Create Camera: - view switches now to the new camera - backdrop mode is changed to “camera” - render resolution is now set to the loaded image Some naming changes in the UI: - X and Y-Axis renamed to “first vanish point” and “second vanish point” - Help link now points to github wiki page
Camera Match fixes
Filmback is now set according to the backdrop image and focal length is calculated correctly.

Bug Fixes
Thread Tools:
profile creation fixed. There were wrong transformations and so the mesh looked totally destroyed
UI:
The shader tree tools didn't show up in the palette. Now fixed.
BJs ToolBox v1.5
MARI Tools are now a separate KIT and no longer part of BJs ToolBox.
Modelling:
- Rotate Element Tool preset: Similar to Element Move but only rotates the picked element on its local axis
Animation:
- Cameras to Animation: Create one camera from a couple of different cameras. Each camera resembles then a animation key. Select all cameras and the last selected one is the camera which is then animated.
Shader Tree:
- Create Materials in Shader Tree: Creates material groups for material tags. Usefull for obj imports
- Material per Element: Creates for each connected polys one material
- Material per Mesh: Creates one material per mesh
BJs ToolBox v1.4
Bugfixes
MARI Tool Kit:
- create selection sets now more robust
- progress bar actually works now
- dialog message before creating selection sets to warn user that this could take a while
BJs ToolBox v1.3
Tested with modo 701 SP3, OS X 10.8.5
MARI Tools:
- import MARI textures and automatically set the UV offset according to the UDMI in the file name
- choose two different delimiter options for the file name
- ignore 8x8 pixel images
- gamma correction for imported textures
- Create poly selection sets for all used UDIMs
Thread Tools:
Inspired by the modelling techniques of Peter Stammbach.
- create inner or outer thread
- define diameter, sides and the number of steps
- the thread itself is currently hard coded and best use in the range of millimetres and centimetres
