Debug Version

This is a debugging version. If it's still not working for you, please open /Applications/Utilities/Console.app, type in "Carillon" in the search field, and post all log entries.

HDAEnabler.kext version

If you're not using HDAEnabler.kext, don't use this. Download one of the other releases instead.

Alternative Version

This version uses a different approach. Instead of having a special binary to trigger the audio, this one installs the Chime sound in /System/Library/Sounds and uses the built-in /usr/bin/afplay to play it.

It still runs via a launch Daemon, so it'll still play at startup, before or at the login screen. It's user independent.

Ensure AppleHDA.kext is loaded

Version 1.1b now makes sure AppleHDA.kext has been loaded before playing the sound.
