Originally used to replace youtube-dl aliases. Can also be used to search and listen to videos, so it's great to use it for listening podcasts. [youtube only] Features -------- - Download audio from sources that provides youtube-dl. - Change audio quality as sample rate, bit rate, etc. - Merge audio files into one after playlist downloading using sox. - Find and listen video's audio using ytfzf. - Tag files and add it to local library. - WIP Installation ------------ Clone this repository via git and move script to your local bin directory. [exported in PATH] You can also use the script without installation [in both cases, you need required dependencies] Using the commands below, choose what you prefer most. [curl/wget] $ sh <(curl -fsSL git.io/yta.sh) $ sh <(wget -qO- git.io/yta.sh) It's simple to use, just paste in the options presented in the section `Usage` and that's it. Example: sh <(...) [options] sh <(...) version # prints version Additional, you can even alias this to your shell config. $ alias yta = 'sh <(curl -fsSL git.io/yta.sh)' But you already decide how you will be comfier. Usage ----- yta.sh [OPTIONS] [URL] Options: -p --playlist playlist Download and convert playlist -a --audio audio Set audio extension [default: mp3; aac, flac...] -b --bitrate bitrate Set audio bitrate [default: 128K; 256K, 320K] -s --asr asr Set audio samplerate [default: 48000; 44000, 41000] -P --path path Set path [default: ~/Music/yata] -V --verbose verbose Turn off quiet mode -x --sox sox Merge audio files from playlist -B --beets beets Add to library and add tags -f --find find Find videos in Youtube using ytfzf -v --version version -v for yta's version --version for yta's and youtube-dl version -h --help help Show this help text Example: yta [url] yta -p [playlist url] yta -a=aac -s=44000 -b=256 [url] yta -f "Title in Youtube" Dependencies ------------ All dependencies except youtube-dl is optional: - youtube-dl - ytfzf - sox - beets Disclaimer ---------- There are no limitations, except of license.
