Introduction

The Observe Agent is a tool based on the OTEL Collector project. It extends the collector with additional functionality and Observe-specific defaults and configuration. The agent is designed to be run in a variety of environments and architectures and to allow for easy out-of-the-box collection of valuable telemetry. The agent also allows users to extend the default configuration to better suit their own needs. The agent is designed primarily to send data to an Observe backend.
