By formatting code chunks as code, we gain several functionalities:

Code chunks will now have a convenient copy icon (top right size of chunk box on GitHub);
Code gets formatted syntax;
Convenient extraction of code bits of the file using the knitr::purl() function (works best if file is Rmd).
