This is the developer documentation for Salt Developers in openSUSE. For user documentation, please take a look at the upstream Salt docs.

openSUSE's Salt repository is not a fork of Salt upstream. It is a downstream project that moves at a different pace than upstream, with the goal of including all added features and bug fixes in upstream releases.

We follow an upstream-first approach: All changes to this repository must link to a GitHub Pull Requests at saltstack/salt.
