Welcome to the netbeans-translator wiki!
This is a rewrite of the old plugin, where the source code isn't available any more. Furthermore, it is a test to learn for me how to publish Netbeans Plugins.
It includes an SPI to implement alternative translation services and a default implementation, based on the google translation service. It also includes an API to used the translation services programmatically.
ToDo
- Possibility to add credentials to use a commercial translation service
- Implementation of whatsapp translation service
- Ask the google api about available languages
The idea to rewrite the plugin comes from Roland Meier Medialekt, who asks me for help because the original plugin does not work any more in Apache Netbeans 12. Also a thanks to Geertjan Wielenga, who encourages me to rewrite his original plugin.
