How ready is the joy_controller package

I see the joy_controller package in the new universe repository with no launch file or demo associated with it. I'd like to know how ready is it or are there any exisiting way to test this package, as the racing WG is developing a driving pipeline for F1TENTH vehicles.

You can choose joy type from DS4, G29, P65.
