[Q] why rr workers not working with Laravel Octane?

I tried the rr command with Laravel Octane

rr reset

rr reset -o rpc.listen=tcp://localhost:6001

expected result

Resetting plugin: [http] ∙∙●

rr workers

rr workers -o rpc.listen=tcp://localhost:6001

expected result

workers table

instead I got an error

show_workers: informer_plugin_workers: no such service: server; informer_plugin_workers: no such service: server

The version of RR used: rr version 2.2.1 (build time: 2021-05-13T18:00:32+0000, go1.16.4)

Hello @litan1106. Could you please show your .rr.yaml ?

Ahh, I guess it's because you use Octane. Octane does not have a .rr.yaml. To see the workers table, you have to create a .rr.yaml with server and rpc sections OR specify server config with -o flags (-o server.command=...).

I copied the Laravel Octane config to .rr.yaml during the testing.

rr workers -o rpc.listen=tcp://localhost:18001 -o server.command="php ./vendor/bin/roadrunner-worker"

I still got the error.
show_workers: informer_plugin_workers: no such service: server; informer_plugin_workers: no such service: server

@48d90782 @nunomaduro you can reproduce via docker run:

1. run the container

docker run --rm -it  -p 8000:8000/tcp litan1106/example-app-roadrunner-demo:latest sh -c "php artisan octane:start --host=0.0.0.0 --port=8000 --rpc-port=6001"

2. open browse localhost:8000

3. exec rr command in the running container

docker exec -it $YOUR_RUNNING_CONTAINER_ID$ bash
rr reset
rr workers

@litan1106 I found a problem; this is an RR issue. Converting discussion back to the issue (regression).
