My name is Oriol Colomé. I am a musician and a music scientist. With over a decade of experience as a professional musician, I’ve dedicated my career to understanding and shaping this wiggly air and cognitive phenomenon we call music. In recent years, I’ve shifted towards music tech, blending hands-on musical expertise with computational approaches to uncover deeper patterns and structures in music. My work spans Music Information Retrieval (MIR), system design, and cross-modal analysis, integrating multiple modalities of musical information to develop intelligent music systems. I thrive on collaboration, working with musicians, industry professionals, academics, and product teams to push the boundaries of music technology.
