Project 081 [beta 3-0.5]

Release Notes:

• Finally a new release. This release fixes some important things including audio patches being installed for machines that don't need it.
• As of uploading this release, these are NOT available on p081 because I'm working on the page.
• This time around, there are two different versions. One for iMac8,1 and MacBookPro4,1 systems and another for the rest.
• No big differences except some boot edits and TigerALC related.
• Even smaller image

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

• If you have a MacBookAir1,1, MacBook3,1, MacBook4,1, MacPro3,1, or Xserve2,1, download the RED one
• If you have a MacBookPro4,1 or iMac8,1, download the BLUE one.

If you do not pick the right one, some features may not work on your machine.
NOTE: All of these Macs are either Late 2007/Early 2008. If yours isn't one of these, you can't install.

Project 081 [beta 2-0.4]

So, we've finally reached beta 2 after beta 1 being a disaster for most. No special instructions this time, same process as beta 1.

This time we do have an install guide in form of a YouTube video. It's currently the only one available.

After this, there may or may not be a Beta 3. No 1.0 until an X3100 patch exists.
Image is slightly smaller this time around which is good for people with bad internet connections. 🌐

Project 081 [beta 1-0.3]

Small bug fix update, may not be perfect but either way, it's out I suppose.
Same patch notes from last release apply, but with more edits.

Write to a USB drive and boot. Simple!

Project 081 [beta-0.1]

Project 081 beta 0.1

Project 081 has finally been released. This is the first release and it's compatible with every known Penryn Early 2008 Mac.
To use: Write the DMG to a USB flash drive with at least 2GB of space or burn it to a DVD, and then boot from it and install like normal.

Project 081 [beta 1-0.2]

Second release and a very minor but important one. Fixes boot issues on some iMac8,1 and MacBook models.
If you have a successful install, you don't need this. For everyone else, use this instead of 0.1

Changelog:

• Boots in verbose and no kext cache by default. (Change if you want)
• Edited SystemVersion.plist (Only pre-installation)
• Updated credits slightly
• Slightly bigger image, but way more reliable
• Now mounts properly

You can write the image using whatever you want. I recommend Disk Utility for Mac and Etcher for everyone else.
Any other alternatives may work but if not, try these first.
