Required Equipment

P4Pi is based on the Raspberry Pi Platform. You will need the following:

1. Raspberry Pi 4 Model B - (RAM >= 4GB) see Raspberry Pi website

2. Raspberry Pi 4 USB-C Power Supply see Raspberry Pi website

3. Micro SD Card 16GB (32GB recommended)

Recommended Equipment

1. Pi 4 Micro-HDMI to HDMI Cable see Raspberry Pi website

   • May be shared between multiple devices, depending on usage

2. Keyboard (USB)

   • May be shared between multiple devices, depending on usage

3. Monitor

   • May be shared between multiple devices, depending on usage

4. Mouse (USB)

   • May be shared between multiple devices, depending on usage

5. Raspberry Pi 4 Heatsink Set

   • There are multiple ways to cool Raspberry Pi, depending on your use case. We recommend at least installing heat sinks on your board. You can also consider the Raspberry Pi 4 Case Fan (requires the case) or a more robust heatsink case (example only).

6. Case

   • To help your board survive longer. There are many options, this is the Raspberry Pi official case.

7. Ethernet cable (RJ45)

   • An Ethernet cable is required for some exercises, to connect P4Pi to a desktop/laptop, and is strongly recommended.

Compatibility

At this time, no other Raspberry Pi models were tested for compatibility.
