How to contribute translations

To contribute translations, please check out the language files over at:

https://github.com/paissaheavyindustries/Lemegeton/tree/master/Lemegeton/Language

The file structure is pretty straightforward - you can easily see which strings need translation or retranslation by checking out which lines are commented out in the language file. In the plugin, the language selection dropdown will also display the coverage of the translation (for example, for English it would display 100 %).

You don't need to translate every possible line if you don't want to so please don't stress about there being so many lines - even one line translated is progress and greatly appreciated! For any uncommented/undefined translation entry, the plugin will just display the English default text instead.

In essence, to translate something:

  • find lines that are commented out, which have "//" in the front and appear colored differently
  • uncomment the line by removing the "//" in front of it, and translate the text string
  • leave any lines you are not planning to translate in the file untouched and commented out (don't remove the line or the "//" in front)

The best ways to contribute a translation update are:

  • Do a pull request on GitHub: this will allow me to easily merge your updates into the translation file
  • If you don't have a GitHub account or don't want to submit a pull request, you can also just drop your updated language file on Discord (https://discord.gg/6f9MY55)
  • You can also DM the updates directly to Locrian Mode#2318 on Discord

Thank you for your contribution!
