Do you zone out in the middle of your video call? Or are you super productive and want to multitask by attending call and doing something else? Then Lookout aims to solve this issue by providing a lookout for you (i.e. the text you specify) on Google Meet! This extension parses the captions of the call and alerts whenever someone says your defined string.

- Click on
Add to Chrome
and then click onAdd extension
in the popup that appears.
- In your console, type
git clone https://github.com/pathakshashank17/Bordify.git
- Open chrome, click on ellipsis on top right corner.
- Go to
More tools
>Extensions
and toggle on theDeveloper mode
toggler. - Now click on
Load unpacked
- Browse over to the cloned repo and select the folder. The extension has now been installed.
- Click on
Code
dropdown on the repo page. - Download the zip file and extract it.
- Follow the above set of instructions from step 2.
- Click on the icon on the extensions tray.
- Type the lookout text into the
input field
and pressToggle
button. - To change the lookout text, again type into
input field
and press toggle. - To turn off the lookout, just press on the
Toggle
button while theinput field
is empty. - Whenever the extension detects the lookout string in the captions, it sounds beeps (3-4 times apprx.).
