Hi all - I was wondering if there is an existing page or if someone can provide a bit more of an overview on how to set up the software for someone without any experience coding or using Docker. I have downloaded the Docker platform but am a bit confused on what to do from there.

Ideally I would like to set the system to sync my peloton classes to Garmin automatically and would love to import all my prior activities from Peloton into Garmin if that is an option,

Happy to use Docker or whatever you think the easiest setup method would be for someone of my background. Apologies if this has been covered somewhere already and thank you in advance for the help.

I just use the windows exe. It works great. You just need to edit the configuration json with your info.

I agree with @daytonbrown and recommend using the windows exe if you're looking for the most straight forward setup.

1. You can leave it running and it will sync on a cadence, but you'll have to manually minimize the window. It does not truly run in the background like some windows services do.
2. If you would like to backfill your historical workouts, then set NumWorkoutsToDownload to a high number and run it once. After that initial sync, I recommend keeping NumWorkoutsToDownload equal to something smaller like 3 or 5. It will attempt to download and upload all the workouts each time, which is why this number should be kept small after the initial backfill.
3. The example config file is ready to go as is with reasonable defaults to get up and running. It is currently set to poll once a day. I would not recommend setting the Polling interval less than 1hr.

Thank you, this is very helpful. I am have successfully set up the exe application to work for a small number of recent workouts but when I set the NumWorkoutsToDownload to 1700 for a onetime download of all my previous workouts I got an error of "[15:38:43 ERR] Http Call Failed." null many times with the below at the bottom of the message. Any suggestions on how to fix?

Alright, sounds like the link is working and the data is reachable. So the original error:

Call timed out means initially Peloton took too long to respond with the data. This could have been a temporary issue, have you tried running it again to see if the problem continues to be reproduceable?

I just run it when I need to sync. I also don't have it automatically upload to garmin. I do it manually. Takes me about 30 seconds from start to finish to upload the .fit files. I also don't think there is really a limit on how many workouts you can download at a time. I just have mine set to get the last 3.
